Anuria
Anuria is nothing but total loss of urination and is often caused by failure in the function of kidneys. It might also occur due to some severe obstruction such as tumours or kidney stones. It might occur with end stage renal disease and is a more extreme reduction than oliguria, at times called anuresis. Causes of Anuria
• Failure of kidney function that can have several causes including medications, high blood pressure and diabetes
• Stones or tumours in the urinary tract can also cause it by creating an obstruction to urinary flow. High blood calcium, oxalate or uric acid can contribute to the risk of stone formation.
• In males, an enlarged prostate gland is a common cause of obstructive anuria.
Acute anuria, where the decline in the production of urine occurs rapidly, is generally a sign of obstruction or acute renal failure. Acute renal failure can be caused by factors not related to the kidney such as mercury poisoning, heart failure, infection and other conditions that cause the kidney to be deprived of blood flow.
Symptoms
Anuria is not a disease but itself a symptom. It's frequently related with other symptoms of kidney failure such as nausea, vomiting, weakness and lack of appetite. These are majorly the result of build up toxins in the blood which would normally be removed by healthy kidneys.
Homeopathy for Anuria
Homeopathy has been used for several fatal diseases for years. It's one of the most popular holistic systems of medicine. It believes on the principle of 'like cures like' and treats the individual rather than the disease itself. Anuria can also be treated by homeopathy provided you consult a good homeopath.
