As a conscious journalist, in pursuit of public good and wellbeing, I can say that a very large no. of ordinary citizen is finding it difficult to avail allopathic treatment of chronic and acute diseases. The cost of treatment, surgeries etc. has multiplied into lacs, almost unaffordable for the common multitude.

Honoring Homoeopathy is a boon for the masses
Because of this enormous cost, many people, our very respected citizens are missing even an honourable death. For an example, I would narrate a recent case related to a very senior and reputed journalist of Delhi. Doctors suggested a bypass, but his ailing father was not ready for surgery.

The reason of his denial was not unknown. He said that for the cost of the operation, his son will have to take loans, and he does not want to put this burden on his son. Within a month or two, there was a heart failure and the father died. Till today, I have not been able to comprehend, whether his father’s death was a chosen suicide, or a sacrifice or a compulsion. Had the operation been done I presume that he would have survived for another 10 or 15 years. Otherwise he was in good health and in good spirit. I always presume that only if Ayurvedic and homoeopathic medicine systems were accorded due recognitions and honours, even if the death occurred, it would have been dignified for the diseased and the family. No one would have felt cursed.

And even for the ones who can afford the cost, Allopathy does not have all the lasting answers. In many acute and chronic cases it does not give any solace. Moreover, in many such cases, it only stops the spread of the disease, but does not provide for reversal of the disease. Many of such missing answers lie in Ayurved or homoeopathy-the two medicine systems which emphasize the role of prana or vital force.

They emphasize on the living, the lifestyle and the self motivation of the patients and as such many a times provide more effective all-round solutions. The result does not tranquilize the mind and body, but energizes it. Many a times, patients need combined and co-ordinate use of different medicine systems. In acute cases of heart or kidney, or liver failures or in cases of HIV etc. patients themselves use various pathies. If we look deeply, it is not that many of the practitioners of Ayurved or homoeopathy also use allopathic medicines, the reverse also happens—almost every patient being treated allopathically for acute disease uses Ayurvedic and homoeopathic medicines also.

The people themselves have indicated the relative importance of various medicine systems. The increasing importance of yoga etc. is not accidental. The ever increasing cost of allopathic system and its limitations in complex cases has increased the search for alternatives and solutions. The yoga, the homoeopathy, the Ayurved etc. are expanding, not only as different therapies but also as solutions for the complexities and failures of allopathic system.

The common multitude is voting for this. It is hankering for its vote to be honored. In this honor lie many health and related solutions of the common multitude. To Honor homoeopathic and Ayurvedic systems is the need of the hour. Honoring and recognizing these medicine systems empowers the masses and gives them honorable life.

Dr. Nikam is the First & foremost Homoeopath in the country.

Dr. Nikam is first and foremost homoeopathic practitioner in the country. A large no. of patients is coming to him from all over the country and from foreign countries too. His hospital is the only homoeopathic hospital in the world. Opening a Homoeopathic Hospital is not an easy job; it simply means that the Hospital will have to treat acute emergency cases also. And the prescribed medicine will have to work rapidly.

He is treating thousand of acute and chronic patients at a very nominal cost. And moreover, poor patients are given free medications, and even free hospitalization. Hundreds of students are attracted to him every year. Many of his ex-students are now leading practitioners of the country. He is often called to I.C.U.s of super specialty hospitals to treat emergency pathological cases.

A very unique feat in the medical history. He is treating even those cases where all other remedies have failed. He is engaged in research work. He is the one, always in touch with rural masses. He is expressing the power and might of homoeopathy in its full glory and is the only doctor in the country, who is aspiring to enhance and enlarge the work of Dr. Hahnemann, the person who explored the homoeopathic system. To honor him is like honoring homoeopathy. Honoring him is like honoring the very common multitude.

Honoring him is like honoring science, research, diligence, and vital aspiration. Honoring him is the need of hour. This, I am not saying because of any immature emotion, or because of any publicity exercise. There are more than 180 homoeopathic colleges in the country. They produce almost 20,000 doctors every year. But simply because their medicine system has not been given proper recognition, the services of Homoeopathic doctors are never fully utilized by the society. A majority of them are forced to prescribe allopathic medicines for simple sustenance.
