Example of Gradation :
Anger is a helpful feeling if the person uses it for a short time, for his safety & defense; it helps him as a friend. But if he uses anger frequently, he will land in a Psoric state.
If this feeling persists for a longer period, he will enter Sycotic state due to excess accumulation of thoughts.
When this accumulated anger starts deteriorating his character, he will land in Tubercular state. Example, abusiveness, abruptness, cursing, rudeness, & slander disposition.
Gradually the anger starts destructing his personality & in a course of time he becomes violent, starts attacking others, becomes cruel, inhuman, & impulsive & even desires to commit suicide or murder & this state is known as Syphilitic state of mind.
There are multiple expressions (rubrics) under anger like irritability, quarrelsome. It also expresses the ego feeling, mortification & insulted feeling, wildness, violence, rage, indignation, etc.
The same rule may be applied to every state of mind.
There are some sub rubrics like anguish, which indicate agony, pain, & sorrow. The anguish feeling may present with an impression of Sycotic & Tubercular state.
Healthy Mind :
Finally, I would like to simply explain the balanced state of mind as healthy & harmonious state. Here there is equilibrium of human emotions & normal thought processes.
Homoeopathic Physician must have knowledge about the healthy state of mind and how to select the different mind rubrics according to their miasmatic background.
We have seen and heard about Yogis, who have no attachment to power, money, sex, dignity, and ornaments. These people can live for hundreds of years; because not a single abnormal thought rises in their minds. So their mind is pure, healthy, and harmonious which is merged with the nature.
Graphical Representation of Manifestation of Miasms in Disease and Mind :
Psora :
Each & every abnormal thought developed in human mind creates mental irritation & itching, which represents Psoric state. Here, the abnormal thought rises for few seconds to minutes & vanishes. Response to this abnormal thought is that the healthy & beautiful mind starts damaging itself because there is a law “To every action there is equal & opposite reaction!”
[This graphical presentation showing peak level and then receding back to original (health) level explains that in the Psoric miasm, derangement of the vital force is not permanent, it comes to normal state by itself or by medicinal help given for time being, as there are only physiological disturbances.]
Sycosis :
When the abnormal thoughts start accumulating in a mind excessively & remain persistently, person will land in Sycotic state of mind. For example, Greediness.
When selfishness reaches the highest point, person will become greedy. Then he starts accumulating property, power & money, etc.
When a person goes in excessive Sycotic condition; obviously this antisocial condition will create lot of disturbances in his life.
Tubercular :
Because of his excessive greediness, he starts loosing his character, business, & ambition. For example, a Person who is too much lustful, excessive sexual thought accumulate in his mind, he starts keeping many sexual relationships. He thinks that his life is gifted with sexual enjoyment. Obviously, it is an antisocial, abnormal thought due to which other people will start criticizing him. His family welfare will deteriorate, eventually his friends & social contacts will be unable to keep faith over him and will start avoiding & hating the person.
Gradually he will become an isolated person in the society. At the same time his strength of mind will become weaker & weaker & he will start losing his mental power. This is Tuebrcular state of mind.
Syphilis :
Lastly, the Syphilitic state is the anarchist state. When a person is not following natural laws & orders there is a total loss of mental control & he becomes a violent killer or a shooter. He thinks only about destruction of self or others. He starts hating the family & society & only the destructive thoughts are accumulated in his mind like loathing of life, suicidal disposition etc. Obviously, as a response to these thoughts, his mind, and body starts deteriorating. This is syphilitic state of mind.
